What are some common ways to take CBD?

We encourage you to explore various methods of ingestion for efficacy. Many consumers find a combination of methods work well.

Some common ways to take CBD include:

1. Inhalation
Smoking, Dabbing, Vaping: This option can provide you the greatest bioavailability and fastest relief although the effects may be shorter lasting than other ingestion methods.

2. Sublingual
Sublingually means taking underneath the tongue. This method sends CBD oil into the bloodstream through cannabinoid receptors on the salivary glands. This method of ingested is understood to be highly effective. Any cannabis product that is absorbed through the membranes of the mouth, like a dropper of oil or candy that is sucked, is called a sublingual product. This ingestion method leads to a faster efficacy than processing CBD through the digestive system.

3. Topical CBD:
CBD topicals work best for surface-level relief of localized aches and pains. Topical cannabinoid products are helpful for the properties of the compounds that help with inflammation, fighting pain, and as antioxidants at or near the sight of application. Cannabinoids can’t penetrate deeply enough through the skin to be efficiently absorbed into the bloodstream.

4. Ingestibles
Through infused edibles and beverages or capsules, CBD can be taken orally. This method requires the digestive tract to help metabolize and absorb the CBD to make it available.
A fat-soluble carrier oil (like organic MCT oil which we use for it’s beneficial properties), makes the cannabis more bio-available when ingested. The ingestible must be decarboxylated at low temperature to activate the compounds inside, like CBD, so the product is effective.
Although it can take longer to notice the effects of CBD through this delivery method the results may be longer lasting than other methods.
